don't feel responsible! it's entirely not yesterday's discussion of being NEARLY 40, no, no, no it's not.
it really was inspired by glimpsing my seven yr old last in the bath just lying with only her face out of the water, just daydreaming. lucky little sod.
you young folks, w the age concerns! also, this draw is not depressing,it's inspiring. and kinda beautiful. you don't have to be funny all the time, we can handle yer deepest darkest fears. well, kinda deep & dark.
Thing is though, I was never that good at spotting shapes in clouds. I've always seen talking faces in cracked / mottled walls and ceilings though. That hasn't changed. I don't believe you *never* see them any more?
Hey Lucy,I am a song writer in Sacramento Ca.[William Worley] you can google that but dont think my music will be your cup and that is not why i am here.I am interested in Azeitao because just so happens the greatest damn Portuguese Waterdogs in the world are from there. We were googling the place and stumbled upon your blog and thought I would ask you to tell more about living there.I like your straight forward approach to writing and art-no bullshitski. So whats it like??
Hi William, thanks for visiting..... Well, Azeitão is great because it's only half an hour from Lisbon, twenty minutes from the sea and some amazing coastline. The town/area itself has good and bad, some parts are a bit of an unknown quantity, since they're still being developed/redeveloped, but it's mostly a sleepy kind of a place with SOME old fashioned bits and villages left (fresca, nogueira, piedade). It is resolutely not a haven for expats, by which I mean it's nothing like the horrible bits of the Algarve that are Foreign enclaves.... you just couldn't get by here with only non-Portuguese friends, which is a fantastic thing... this is 98% real Portugal ... I'll email you .....

Why have I never seen a Portuguese waterdog in Azeitao? Probably just as well because they are my kind of dog.
